The Wilsons- A family documentary photoshoot
Outside of photographing weddings I also love to photograph families, kids, grandparents and DOGS- but in a natural way.

I like to photograph events, naturally as they happen in a natural documentary led style. Of course I’ll do some portraits too, but for the majority of the time I try and photograph everything as naturally as I can.
I was delighted when Victoria and Mark asked me to photograph the first birthday party of their handsome son, Lucas.
It was great to be asked back- this is actually the 3rd time I’ve photographed their lovely family- first time was the no so little anymore Emilie’s first birthday, then again at a family party and a trip to the beach. Each time, I’ve been made to feel so welcome in their beautiful home, by the Wilsons themselves, and their families and friends, and of course, Glenn the Labrador, who has photobombed me on a number of occasions now!
So, Lucas’ first birthday party. I turned up, was greeted by Glenn the Dug, Mark, Emilie and Victoria. I spent the next hour or two photographing lots of candid moments, amongst some really informal portraits of the guys and their family and friends. It was also so cool to see all my other photographs from previous visits dotted around the house- made me smile a lot!
I’d like to thank Mark and Victoria, Emilie, Lucas, Glenn, and all their family and friends for making me feel so welcome- AGAIN!
Special mention to Mark and Victoria- such a special couple and two of the strongest people I know. Much love for you both.
