Day One: Friday March 20th, 2020

So, I’ve decided to start documenting from Thursday 20th March 2020, how mine and my girls’ lives are affected through Coronavirus.

Anyone who knows me will know that I take photographs almost every day, but I really want to have images to look back on to document this time in our lives, which is unprecedented and just downright crazy. After this day I expect things to get really crazy as we distance from each other, limit contact, look at potential lockdown, and everything else that comes along with it. Cant believe i’m writing this. Also, my camera and photography really make me happy, so it’s all good eh?

Thursday 20th March 2020 was for me, one of the weirdest days of my life. Spent a really nice morning with my youngest, before lunch and then heading to school to get Eilidh, and pick her up from school for the last time until I dont know- none of us do eh?

I managed to get a couple of shots of that, and then the girls with their best little pals.

After that, I took wee Niamh to get her first ever haircut (huge thanks to Scott, Jennifer and all the staff at Remix, and especially Sam for being so good with the girls) and then walked around Gourock with a dinosaur and a Unicorn, before going to nightshift. Weird eh?

I’m going to try and do this every day until all of this blows over, and see what life is like on the other side.

Most of all, these photos are for my kids to document their little lives through this once in a lifetime experience.

If anyone else enjoys them, then thats all good.

Stay safe everyone.

PS, for the photographer geeks: all images shot with a Fujifilm X100V.
