Carly and Stephen- 29 Glasgow Wedding Photography

Carly and Stephen’s amazing wedding at 29 Glasgow- what a brilliant day and one of my favourite weddings I’ve ever shot.

A colleague of Carly’s recommended me to her after seeing my photography online.

We had a chat online and discussed what sort of photography that they both wanted, for their upcoming Glasgow City Centre wedding in 29 Glasgow, a really cool venue. Me being me, I’d already checked Carly and Stephen out on Instagram, where Carly especially has a HUGE following (more than poor old Muzza here)

They’re a great looking couple, and I was really excited to shoot the wedding. I suggested meeting up before hand to get to know each other, as I always do. We met up in Gourock’s Cafe Continental, and we hit it off right away!

After that, we headed off to nearby Inverkip Beach, where we caught some AMAZING light. I just stood back, snapped away and let Carly and Stephen be themselves, and as you can see below, they NAILED it!

(Did I mention these pre wedding shoots are included in all my wedding photography? There, I have now)

So, a few weeks later and it was the big day. My second shooter Lyall and I headed up to the city, and over to 29 Glasgow to start the prep photos with Stephen, who was already in his kilt and looking absolutely brilliant.

I also caught some great photos of their guests arriving, before heading up to see Carly and the girls upstairs. We had a great laugh, and as always I just snapped away in the background, letting things happen naturally. There were a LOT of laughs with bridesmaid Kat, Mum Karen, and Carly’s friend Emma, who was also doing make up for the girls on the day. Brilliant fun with them all!

Then it was time for the ceremony- 29 Glasgow looked amazing, The ceremony was really cool and personal, with loads of humour from Carly and Stephen throughout. Superb!

Afterwards, we headed upstairs to the balcony, did a few formal shots with family and friends and then hit the streets of Glasgow for some bride and groom portraits. I’d done this before, and absolutely LOVE it. The reaction that the new Mr and Mrs Taylor got on Buchanan Street (Glasgow’s Style Mile) was incredible.

Cheers, wolf whistles, selfies (yup, people asked for photos)- what a hoot we had.

We got some GREAT shots, and as it went so well, Carly and Stephen suggested we go for a cocktail in TGI Fridays! How cool- they bought me a drink, their first as a married couple! I LOVED THAT- future couples take note :)

Then, back to 29 for speeches, and a highlight of the night, the sparkler shots outside with their guests. You had to be there for the full story but the photos are some of my favourites :)

Few shots of the party later and I was invited to stay for some drinks, and as I’d got the train up, that’s what I did!

Absolutely love Carly and Stephen to bits, and the review they left me summed our relationship up. How cool is this?

’Having seen Murray's work previously, I knew what to expect, or so I thought. The images of our big day were way beyond anything I expected and I am so so grateful that we stumbled across this talented man! I also never expected that our Hubby and I would gain a friend’

Awwwww!

Huge thanks to Mr and Mrs Taylor- just the best people.
